Personal collection finally selling.  

Majority of merchandise obtained in mid-90's; NFL 75th Anniversary a primary focus. 

Bank job co-worker & some industry-related customers gave me access to acquire some

items not available to the general public. 

Attending trade shows and many catalog telephone orders also played a big part. 

Spent $900 on 30 major city newspaper ads published Jan.01,2000 to promote the website.

Sadly, an ill family member passed; postponing the collection sell-off until recently.

Every item sold on this eCommerce site is new/mint condition unless noted blemished or used.

Originally an obsessed buyer, now a pop-up seller; I have no intent on obtaining new products. 

Unfortunately did not renew sportstank.com, an address that I owned since 1999. 

This GoDaddy eCommerce store was originally live December 2022-January 2024. 

I really prefer the name sports2o; but the business legal registrations are under Sports Tank.

So decided to promote the site Sports2o.com which forwards to SportsTank.us

Mission Statement: Advantageous goal is to sell most of stock before January 2027.

This site is 1st come,1st served (sorry family, friends & celebrities!)

Build trust through transparency (no longer faceless on social media- yikes!).

Feature ideally-priced inventory so buyers may opt to save or use their purchased goods.                   

Note: The products Category menu is complete but does not list many items.

          Most of the collection has yet to be posted online for sale; currently a top priority. 

 New 'Rapid Listings' will have brief descriptions & less pics; but more products available sooner!

Why pay eBay $/month for a minimalist store front when I get more benefits on this

platform for about the same price.

As of June 2026- Live stream video listings & paid ad pages are receiving significant preferential treatment. But the service fee charges can be 1/3 of final payout!

The ability to create a unique seller identity on eBay's platform has been suppressed in

recent years. 

Linking out to social media accounts is now prohibited. 

Difficult to offer a personalized service with restrictive communication policies enforced.

The first 3 websites mentioned above are marketplace facilitators. 

Platforms similar to a flea market- a central location where many vendors sell. 

Shopify, Craig's List, GoDaddy are more like a garage/yard sale-

conducting business at a private street address.

Shopify's basic store omits some features which can be purchased as app add-ons; 

driving up the overall subscription cost.

Etsy charges relist fees.

Storefront listed (didn't sell) Jackie Robinson baseball+cube years ago.

Facebook Marketplace & CraigsList- not for selling many numerous items;

Big Commerce is intricate/timely site maintenance.

The name I use on social media pages Facebook & Instagram; and on etsy and eBay. 

The latter does not permit user account handles to contain website names;

so typing in sports2o.com redirects to sportstank.us (domain registered November 2024).

On social media I am under ted2o to maintain a unified branding theme

& skip using my long last name.

Most of my social media pages are currently just parked & will have content added soon.

Will have a blog with in depth details.

Ship Engine- provides online checkout shipping rates & sells parcel labels.

GoDaddy- platform upgrades and their payments system.

PayPal Commerce enabled, along with free shipping is currently the best option.          

Not able to add sticky/pinned posts under the Blog section; but can externally link to specific posts (they're all calendar date indexed).
